We just returned today from a four night stay with the view of purchasing a caravan and pitch at Haggerston Castle , it was a truly dreadful experience. i was amazed to what we found musty smelling rooms sea view couldnt see a sea view with the big tree that was blocking our view.

Have just returned from a hellish 4 night break to Thorness Bay. When we arrived we were told(in a somewhat rude manner!) that we had to wait until 4pm to check in - this was ridiculous as all our keys were in boxes in “The Showbar” - but we had to wait like children until dead on 4pm - and then all hell broke out while people were pushing and shoving for their keys. Do you like Butlins ? If so, you will probably like this hotel. Easy as that. Basic accommodation, acceptable food and plenty of entertainment.

This is in my opinion a good quality hotel, especially considering the low cost.

It is kept extremely clean and tidy, especially given that this was the season’s last week, and hotels can start to look tired. The hotel is in two parts, Tossa Beach and Tossa Central.

The hotel was fantastic, so clean. There was a fruit bowl, slippers, toilitres etc our room had two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a lounge, a rooftop terrance that no one knows is there, with its own sunbeds, tables etc. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Michael, Yogi and Dimitri. Good points - Convenient position 10 minutes walk to beach and shuttle bus available.

Bad Points - Didn’t get twin room as booked. Food was awful - cold food very warm (including mayonnaise salads). Needed to queue up before start of each meal session and rush in to load up your plate as a few minutes later everything was gone - only cold cooked vegetables and bones left.

The savvas was AMAZING!!! If u want a week of fun then here is the best place! We arrived in the afternoon and when we checked in we were welcomed by a gorgeous barman (nick ) and free shots, what a welcome if u ask me!
